Local
history can also be seen in one of the twelve
museums throughout the city, each telling its
own tale of the past, including Southsea Castle,
Charles Dickens Birthplace Museum and
the D-Day Museum where visitors can view the
famous Overlord Embroidery.
HMS Victory is the Royal Navy's most famous warship. She is the world's oldest commissioned ship and a proud memorial to Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, Britains' greatest naval hero and the Battle of Trafalgar.
